do we live in corrupt times because these politicians seem to commit abrupt crimes/
must we remind you now can you see why it is we distrust the kind who disrupt minds/
our youth aren’t blind but too bad the truth isn’t written for our eyes to view/
and when it is right on cue who’s the one to cover it up with the darkest hue/
it must be the boys in blue combined with the secret forces who govern the globe/
why is it that we continue to mourn the bold while they stay stubborn and old/
still try to wear my heart on my sleeve but as you can see it’s no longer beating/
it’s human rights they’re defeating by alligning with these hate monger’s teachings/

with my sights set on the right sect do we have any rights left/
they try to instill fear with empty threats while we still write checks/
the fatter the pockets the less they worry about the matters at hand/
so please tell me what matters my man my soul is tattered as planned/
are we all manic or has it finally ran it’s course through these veins/
but few have changed i still look around and ask myself who is sane/
we still see that the news is maimed and the written word has mutated/
i know the truth is sacred but speak your mind and it’s you who’s hated/
what happened to free press please come back it’s not like we need stress/
we will even seek less but not what is handed to us by that fox news mess/
or even cnn why can’t we amend the situation we are being faced with/
i’m in a world full of facelifts fake shit and styles that are tasteless/
try to embrace it but still find myself in a world i can’t seem to fit in/
can’t turn a blind eye to members of congress that will still commit sins/

Our government… teaches the whole people by its example. If the government becomes the lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.

Louis D. Brandeis

I thought I would let everyone know how crazy Mister O’Reilly is.  I’m glad that Phil served him good.  If you don’t know who he is you better find that out quickly.  Also, if you’ve never seen the movie Outfoxed, I would seriously recommend it.  It shows the way that Fox News compiles their stories and how unfair and unbiased they really are.

africa_family_hut.jpgBored at work.  Had to find something to pass the time so I stumbled upon an article by Ben Goldacre over at The Gaurdian, which he wrote on Aids Day of last year.  I’ve always been quite interested by the forward progress made by researchers and scientists, but I also notice a lot of people trying to halt the derailment of this epidemic.  Some people want to use drugs “by Africans for Africans” at a reduced cost and some want to use music to help heal these hopeless people.  What is it?  Where do we even begin?  Check out his article here.

mccain0508.jpgWar, do we really need it?  Senator John McCain sure likes to think so.  The man doesn’t know who the most powerful nation in the world will be attacking, but he has been overheard singing Bomb Bomb Iran and the party he represents is hell-bent on mass murder in Muslim countries.

“And right now – we’re gonna have a lot of PTSD [post traumatic stress disorder] to treat, my friends,” he said. “We’re gonna have a lot of combat wounds that have to do with these terrible explosive IEDs that inflict such severe wounds. And my friends, it’s gonna be tough, we’re gonna have a lot to do.”

Is this a man that even has a hope of being elected?  He avoids the issues that matter most to Americans right now which are the economy and education, instead focusing on his strong suit, foreign affairs.

Q: President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for 50 years — (cut off by McCain)

McCAIN: Make it a hundred.

Q: Is that … (cut off)

McCAIN: We’ve been in South Korea … we’ve been in Japan for 60 years. We’ve been in South Korea 50 years or so. That would be fine with me. As long as Americans …

Q: [tries to say something]

McCAIN: As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. That’s fine with me, I hope that would be fine with you, if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where Al Queada is training and equipping and recruiting and motivating people every single day.

I can’t even fathom a response to that.  What are these people thinking.  I guess the money takes control of not only their morals but our civil liberties as well.  Are American soldiers not being injured, harmed, wounded, and killed on a daily basis.

burning_flag1.jpgLustGreedJealousy Envy.  All very relevant human emotions.  This is a conversation between a left-wing young man, I could even see myself in his shoes.  He’s having a discussion on the state of things in the world with a conservative older gentleman who likes to believe what he hears via Fox News or through the morning paper.   By the end of it the man from the right side of the picture almost has to admit defeat after what he hears his people doing to the world.  It’s inevitable people, we need to make changes now before things get further out of hand.

you looked stressed he asked are you going to be okay?/
too bad i don’t have the answer to give to you today/
but why he shot back i said look at the state of things/
multiple personality pawns in power and the hate they bring/
but you still chase the dream eventually it’s fate it seems/
now just hold up aren’t we supposed to be the greatest beings/
just to fill the cupboards why do we still steal from brothers/
why do we blame one another as the system still traps others/
you’re just being cynical there’s always a silver lining/
take iraq have they bombed back we don’t need reminding/
or at gitmo we have tricked more into false statements/
so that leaves less terrorists walking upon our pavement/
it’s a war for oil can’t take that can’t you read the facts/
how can you still trust the patriot act by these racist hacks/
it doesn’t affect me personally but my eye can’t turn blind/
i think with the third kind to move me through these absurd times/
no education process they just learn crime to earns dimes/
get high before the sherm dries i’m so bright my words shine/
i hear the cries for help a passionate eye is wealth/
or an open ear i spoke it clear to relieve myself/
and thank you for that he said i could tell he was angered/
his star spangled banner ruined almost endangered/
